This is an infill single story building which has been there for
many years. However, the 1750 map shows this as an empty space
between no.2 and a smaller than current no.4. Possibly the infill
was built in the early 1800s?

Photo
from pre-1900
Divided into two areas, the photos show us that the right hand side
has been a shop front since at least 1900, with the left side being
a storage area until relatively recently.
The earliest photo I have found (above) dates from around 1900, or
possibly a little earlier, and shows the shop unit is full use with
shopkeeper and some goods at the doorway. There is a large arched
double doorway into the left section. One photo below shows the
double doors open.
Photos from 1900 - 1910s
By the late 1950s (below) there is a second doorway into the left
section, smaller than the first. (Poor quality photo, I'm afraid -
the shop section is mostly hidden behind the chap on the horse.)

I don't know when the left section was converted and had the current
shop front fitted.
